Cat Lovers Are Attracted By Adoptable Kittens At A Bookstore
For the most part, we cat lovers like a good book as well. It is said that having a preference for cats is a sign of intellect. And what better way to get our creative juices flowing than with a fantastic book? They might be onto something at Otis & Clementine’s Books and Coffee in Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia, to lure cat lovers into their shop. Who can say no to kittens, especially adoptable kittens?
Kittens are kryptonite for cat lovers. Even those who aren’t cat lovers will find them irresistible.
Apart from the fact that kittens are a great way to attract customers, these kittens are here for a good reason. Ellen fosters cats and kittens for her local SPCA and hoped that by doing so, she may help some of them find homes.
These smart kittens appear to know just what to do as well. With their charming antics and feline appeal, they never fail to keep book lovers delighted. People have begun to come to Otis’ merely to get a glimpse of the kitties.
“They leap on book stacks, hang out on albums, sit on people’s laps, and cuddle up on their shoulders.”
Ellen started Otis Books after spending half of her life in Chicago and the other half in Nova Scotia. Many people claim it’s the greatest secondhand bookstore they’ve ever seen.
Now that Ellen’s daughter has graduated from high school, she assists in the delivery of children’s programs including writing club, kids book club, girls book club, and teen book club.
On the third Saturday of each month, from 5-8 p.m., we have an open mic night. Ellen intends to begin a structured writing program in the near future.
As we all know, internet behemoths like Amazon are rapidly altering the game for traditional retailers. This is especially true for small, family-owned enterprises. Ellen is grateful that her brilliant concept not only boosted her business, but also helped animals in need find forever homes.
