Family Returns Cat To Shelter Because It Is ‘Too Cuddly’

All Jacque needed to be with someone to love him, but the 3-year-old cat was constantly turned down.

“He was discovered in a foreclosed property. Nancy Hutchinson, founder and president of Michigan Cat Rescue, told The Dodo, “The person who owned him abandoned him there and didn’t care.” “The realtor discovered him and brought him to the shelter. Regrettably, this occurs frequently.”

Jacque was put on the death list because the shelter was packed with dogs and cats, and no one seemed interested in adopting him. Hutchinson’s visit, however, saved his life.

Hutchinson stated, “I saw him in his cage and felt so awful for him.” “I unlocked his cage and sat with him on the floor for a bit, and he sat on my lap. ‘Wow,’ I thought. What a lovely cat.’

Hutchinson rescued Jacque from the shelter and placed him in the hands of Michigan Cat Rescue after realizing how precious he was. She and the other volunteers then looked for a place for him to live.

Hutchinson explained, “We advertised him as a lap cat.” “Then this woman appeared and adopted him.”

However, this did not prove to be the lifelong home that everyone had dreamed for.

“She stated she didn’t want him anymore after approximately a year,” Hutchinson added. “She added, ‘He’s always trying to sit in my lap – I can’t take it any more.’ This is not what I signed up for, so I’ll have to return him to you.’

Everyone in the rescue team was taken aback.

Hutchinson explained, “Actually, it is what she signed up for because she desired a lap cat expressly.” “However, she had grown tired of having him.”

Jacque was nursed back to health, and the crew began seeking for a new home for him. This time, however, they were a lot more picky.

“We received a lot of applications for him,” Hutchinson said, “but a lot of them weren’t suited for his personality.”

Then Liz Myziuk and her husband made an application to adopt Jacque. Hutchinson had a good feeling about them, so she scheduled a meeting with Jacque for them.

Hutchinson explained, “We met Liz and her husband at one of our veterinary hospitals, and we put them in a room together.” “I took him out of the container and let him stroll about for a while. Then they took him up and placed him in their laps, where he remained. They were crying and giddy with joy because they were so enamored with him.”

“I left him with them in the room, and they came out and said, ‘We want to give him a home.’ Hutchinson continued, “We want to take him.” “Then I burst out laughing. I was just overjoyed. I believe Jacque was relieved as well. I believe he realized he had finally found his happy ending.”

Jacque rapidly adjusted to his new surroundings and even acquired a new name: Giuseppe.

Hutchinson stated, “They totally love him.” “He’s doing fantastic. It’s really fantastic.”

Hutchinson, who has a soft spot in her heart for Giuseppe, is overjoyed that he has finally found his forever home.

“When he was returned to us by his owner, we were so upset,” she said. “I was just really sad for him, and I could tell it was hurting him as well. So finding him the perfect home is a wonderful, wonderful thing. It makes me cry because that is why we do all of this and why we fight every day to save their lives so they can enjoy happy, fulfilling lives.”
