Thanks To Rescue And Foster Care, A Feline Family Of Three Is Able To Thrive

Madras was dumped outside and left to fend for herself when her family had to flee their home. When a family falls on hard times, cats are sometimes abandoned, forcing them to fend for themselves after having experienced a household existence. It’s a harsh reality for cats, and Madras’ situation was made much worse by the fact that she was pregnant.
Madras would soon deliver kittens into the world, not just alone in the untamed outdoors and without the comforts of home. The expecting mother realized she needed assistance, and she found it in Gael, a neighbor who had overheard the family’s relocation story. Gael called Chatons Orphelins Montréal(COM) in order to provide Madras with the assistance she required, and happily ever after was soon underway for a feline family in the making.

Madras went to a foster home as soon as COM got her safe in their care, so she could settle down and prepare for the delivery of her babies. They would soon arrive at a wonderful spot where mom and infants will receive the finest of love and care, thanks to her growing tummy.
“Her foster mom was beside her the whole time, soothing and reassuring her,” Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal told Love Meow when Madras’ two white kitten males arrived.

Caspar and Cotton were the cutest little kittens, and the three of them created the purrfect family. Madras, on the other hand, became unwell after approximately a week. Her milk has ceased due to infection. She required prompt medical attention to bring her temperature down as well as medicines to address a urinary tract infection. She was no longer able to nurse, so her foster family dressed her up in a cute suit, and Madras was back with her babies in no time. Madras was still a loving mother, educating her kittens about the world and giving them lots of mom snuggles, even though Caspar and Cotton were now on bottles and Madras’ feeding duties were done.

Madras and her pups were able to have a happy life thanks to rescue and foster care. What would have happened if Madras had become ill without them?
“Her kittens survived and flourished due to the rescuers and the foster family,” Celine added.

“Madras is a fantastic mother. She is fiercely protective of her children and keeps a close eye on them at all times.”
She not only adores her kitten males, but she also likes being a loving lap cat, content to “be stroked from head to tail.” Madras and her foster family are so in love with one other that the lovely kitty rapidly became a “foster fail.” She’s already in her permanent home, preparing her boys for their opportunity at forever.

“They are daring and naughty. Casper (the one with the darker nose) is the leader of the two and encourages his brother to play. Cotton, the shyer of the two, prefers to follow Casper about the home and will go out of his way to find him if he can’t find him.”
