Pixel’s mother first noticed that he was more expressive than most cats when he was about a year old. His lovely smile was contagious, and he constantly seemed to have a smile on his face. He also seemed to enjoy being shot, which, when combined with his smile, was the finest combo ever.

Everyone fell in love with Pixel as soon as Kalhagen began posting photographs of his beautiful smile, and deservedly so. Pixel is now famous for his goofy smile all over the internet, which means he gets to perform more photoshoots, which he adores.

While most people think Pixel is wonderful, everyone has a different reaction to him and his grin, and his mother enjoys watching the joy, and occasionally perplexity, he gives to people all around the globe.

“People react to Pixel in a number of ways, but the most prevalent ones are comments like, ‘He’s so ugly he’s cute!’ or ‘He has the appearance of a bat!’ “The comments have been mostly favorable, however some people find his expressions disconcerting or creepy,” Kalhagen added. “A few people have speculated that he is wicked or possessed, but he is simply a highly expressive kitten looking for a piece of chicken!”

Pixel, of course, is completely unaware of the situation. He has no idea that others adore his smile or believe he resembles a cute little bat. All he knows is that he enjoys posing for the camera, receiving goodies, and flashing his grin at the people he cares about, and that is all he need.
