Cuddles Are A Favorite Pastime For A Rescued Piglet And Her New Kitten

Meet Laura the piglet and Marina the kitten, two rescued babies who, thanks to a lot of love and care, are overcoming some very sad pasts. And, of course, there will be plenty of cuddles.

The two are the newest additions to Santuario Igualdad Interespecie (Interspecies Equality Sanctuary), a farm animal rescue in Santiago, Chile.

Laura and Marina have already began to form an unbreakable relationship that makes their futures so much brighter than before, despite their histories being so different, much like their species.

Marina was found ill and alone after being abandoned on the street as a baby and was rescued by a Good Samaritan. It wasn’t certain if she’d survive when she arrived to the refuge earlier this month. Nonetheless, her rescuers vowed that they would do everything possible to ensure that she did.

Laura’s tale is equally sad. She was born into the meat business on the grounds of a factory farm, where she was saved and brought to the sanctuary by chance. Unfortunately, her mother is still imprisoned there, so volunteers have had to keep her warm, nourished, and cared for.

It was just a matter of time until the piglet and kitten met, and they quickly became good friends.
