A newborn kitten was discovered alone on the frigid streets of Montreal, Canada; she had been abandoned and was without the care of a mother, so she was immediately rushed to an animal shelter to be cared for.
His health was stabilized by the shelter workers, but he required particular care. As a result, they sought assistance from the rescue organization Chatons Orphelins Montréal.
Celine Crom, a volunteer with the rescue group, stated:
“We continued to keep her warm when she came with us.” His eyes were closed, and he was nothing but skin and bones.
The rescue group was stunned by the case of the small orphan kitten and determined to assist her right away.
Milena, a rescue center foster volunteer, brought the kitten home and began bottle-feeding her 24 hours a day.
The lovely kitten clung to the bottle like a champion and looked content to be hand-reared by her guardian.
“From the start, his survival instincts were strong. She wept for her bottle every hour and ate to fill her heart. She was always gaining weight.
The kitten’s name was Lou, and she was doing well in her foster home, but she wanted someone to play and snuggle with.
Lou would try to crawl over other resident cats in his foster home for attention whenever he spotted them.
A litter of kittens was also saved that month; they were in extremely bad health, but the rescue team accepted them in order to save them.
“At first, we were concerned they wouldn’t make it. It took a long time for the antibiotics to kick in, but everyone was able to eat alone again.
A kitten from the rescued group named Griotte had a terribly infected eye, but the tiny girl was able to survive with a lot of patience, care, and love. His eye eventually healed and he was able to restore his eyesight, and it has since blossomed in an extraordinary way.
They chose to introduce Lou to this litter of kittens, knowing that meeting other kittens would be beneficial to him, and he immediately connected with Griotte.
«They followed each other around for 24 hours after meeting. They’ve been a tight pair ever then, sleeping, mending, running, and doing everything together.
Sweet Lou was so excited to have a baby sister that she insisted on remaining by her side and not leaving Griotte alone. The greatest part is that this feeling was reciprocated, for Griotte did not want to be separated from his new best buddy, and these two felines were inseparable in no time.
Lou and Griotte are adorable. They have opposing personalities, yet they complement one other perfectly.
Lou embodies excitement and fun; she is inquisitive and likes her adventures around the house.
She is always looking for new adventures and enjoys causing havoc throughout the foster home in order to get everyone’s attention.
«When she wants to be hugged, she leaps into her foster mother’s arms. She returns to her dearest feline companion after receiving some embraces from her human.
Griotte has taken on the role of older sister, so she maintains Lou in good shape with her regular lick baths.
The lovely kitty keeps an eye on her sister to make sure nothing bad happens to her, and if she hears her meow, she goes to check what’s going on.
“Griotte has a little foggy area on his eye as a result of the illness, but he can see well now and it doesn’t affect him.”
The pair of kittens have a very strong and particular sister relationship; it is so intense that they seek each other out when they are apart.
Celine also stated:
They are a fantastic pair that cannot be parted. They’re now seeking for a lifelong home together.
These two kittens have become sisters for life, and because the rescue organisation decided not to separate them, the tiny ones were adopted together and are quite happy with their new family for the rest of their lives.
