The Couple Gave Up Their Professions To Travel The World With Their Pet Cat
A couple leaves their employment to travel and spend more quality time with their cat in the middle of the everyday fight for money. They’ve left everything behind in search of a glimmer of happiness.
It’s about Matt and Jessica Johnson, who recognized how fleeting life is and determined to make the most of it. Both of them made the irreversible decision to leave their careers in order to pursue their ambition of traveling the globe.
Matt and Jessica decided to put everything they had up for auction one day. His only limit was the sky. They purchased a yacht using the funds obtained. Beginning in 2008, an apparently improbable choice was made.
After mastering the fundamentals of boat maneuvering, the pair was ready to go on their exciting voyage. As a result, they sailed ship in quest of new adventures to share with one another.
Matt and Jessica had a typical existence in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before embarking on their epic voyage across the world. They began to feel uneasy, as if something was missing from their happiness.
Both the guy and lady were accomplished professionals in their respective fields. Matt worked in the automobile industry as a sales manager. Jessica, on the other hand, was employed as a billing specialist at a local insurance firm. They had a desire to realize the “American Dream.”
“For far too long, we’ve spent our weekends doing nothing more useful or entertaining than watching television. “We recognized something had to change,” Matt explained.
They wanted to get away from that bunch of individuals who put off their aspirations through postponing. They saw themselves retired and bored in the future, crammed onto the sofa in their living room.
And it was at this point that the enormous notion of sailing the seven seas began to take shape in their minds. An idea that became a reality on August 12, 2011, when they hoisted anchor and embarked on their epic maritime journey.
Matt and Jessica have walked on the soil of more than 16 nations since that first day. Witnesses to the wonders that our lovely blue planet has to offer.
However, as the amateur explorers were savoring their oceanic paradise, they decided to expand their team one day. A furry buddy who is always willing to help.
Matt and Jess acquired Georgie, a cat from a shelter for animals rescued from the streets, and she became a permanent member of their family.
The lovely pussycat instantly transformed into a world traveler. It’s one of the kitties with the most “passport” stamps. Georgie has met 13 of the more than 16 countries that the pair has visited thus far.
Georgie is so enthusiastic about traveling that she has even learnt to swim (unusually for a cat). He goes overboard every now and again, especially on hot days, and takes a big plunge to cool down.
“He’s doing a great job with the navigation and is much more steady than we are.” “When we’re anchored, he loves to watch the fish off the side of the boat,” Jessica added.
Day after day, the three of them’s relationship and devotion became exponentially stronger as they had amusing moments of joy. It was something the pair had aspired to since the beginning.
Despite the hundreds of challenges they have faced, nothing has prevented them from continuing their enviable existence as nomads in the great, yet deadly open sea. They are adamant in their refusal to give up on their aspirations. They have no intentions to complete their investigation at this time.
