This Little Cat Was Anti Social Until The Little Kitten Forced To Play With Her

Cats of San Bernardino is a non-profit rescue organization that received a call from a lady about a cat that had been loitering about an apartment complex for over a year, and she had noted that he had started to look unwell and thought that something needed to be done.
They realized the cat, named Phoenix, wasn’t wild when they arrived at the complex and spotted him. He had most likely been left behind by someone who had moved away. He was kind enough and didn’t mind being caressed, but he was in bad shape and had lost most of his facial hair.

Everyone could see he had been outside for a long time and, in addition to his infirmities, he appeared to be melancholy, most likely because his owners had abandoned him. He began to bounce back with with care and attention, and he was once again looking like the gorgeous youngster he was.

The only problem was that Phoenix was still depressed, so he stayed to himself and avoided all the other cats. Until he met Ruby, that is. She and her siblings were discovered in someone’s back yard, and it was a toss-up whether she would survive because she wasn’t eating.

Then, one day, Ruby had had enough and grabbed the bottle, and she went from strength to strength from there. Then she ran into Phoenix, and this small cat came bouncing into his life, and everything changed.

It felt like a miracle to watch Phoenix take the attention of Ruby. The contrast in him is endearing, and it’s encouraging to learn that the two will be adopted together.

The folks who manage the Cats of San Bernardino do an amazing job, and they must be overjoyed that Phoenix has finally come out of his shell and found someone with whom he can spend the rest of his days.
