It is prohibited to assist vulnerable animals on the streets, squares, or any other public area, as stated.

Although this law was passed last year, it was not implemented until this year, and they have began to levy high penalties in order to put pressure on anyone who desires to show sympathy with the street animals. Helping is banned, no matter how much it hurts.

Fines vary depending on your motivations for assisting the fuzzys. Mrs. Doa Ivanilda Alves was fined $50 for feeding the homeless animals and strolling with them.

In this regard, the lady says:

“What I’ve witnessed is a tragic scenario. The dogs in the area are underweight, hungry, and thirsty. “There is a dearth of vaccination, food, and water, all of which are critical for them, as well as a lack of castration.”

Doa Ivanilda, along with other relatives and neighbors, aided several dogs by feeding them without being seen, but their income has fallen as a result of the epidemic, and they are unable to afford huge fines in such uncertain and tough circumstances.
