A Camera Catches A Baby Sneaking Off To Sleep With A Dog
Paige Knudtson wanted to adopt a 2-year-old Boxer dog from a local shelter shortly after learning she was pregnant. Paige had grown up around these breeds of dogs, so she knew they make ideal companions due to their sensitive nature.
What you didn’t expect was for the Boxer dog called Brutus to become such a vital part of your baby’s life.
Paige explained to The Dodo:
Brutus is nothing more than a giant teddy bear. He enjoys being the center of attention and cuddling with others.
Several medical tests indicated that Paige’s baby had a very significant heart abnormality when she was 20 weeks pregnant; a highly concerning condition.
Finn, the small baby, had many medical treatments after birth until he was allowed to undergo open heart surgery.
Paige stated:
“We were really fortunate to have detected his condition before to his birth; else, he might not be here today.”
Finn was eventually able to return home to his loving parents after battling his illness for several weeks and overcoming numerous complications.
When he arrived home, the first thing they did was introduce him to Brutus, and it was clear that a unique bond had been formed between them.
Paige stated:
“It was as if Brutus knew Finn needed a bit extra monitoring after we returned home, and he’s been at his side ever since.”
As time goes, their love develops, and they enjoy spending time together, whether it is watching television, playing games, eating, or napping. These two darling boys have become inseparable and exemplary spirits, as if they were the ideal complement to one other.
Paige stated:
“Brutus frequently huddles around Finn and follows him from room to room in our house.” Brutus recognizes Finn’s illness and just stands beside him or puts his head on his chest.
Brutus despises leaving Finn’s side; if he isn’t permitted in, he claws on the door and becomes restless.
These brothers aren’t even separated at night since Brutus slept on a mat in front of Finn’s cot when he was a newborn. Finn, now that he is older, has moved into a larger children’s bed, where he sleeps snuggled up with his brother.
Paige stated:
Finn began sleeping in his ‘big bed’ little over a month ago, and Brutus began crawling and sleeping in Finn’s bed every night shortly after. He’s lying next to her, as though he’s trying to protect her from rolling out of bed.
Brutus will undoubtedly accompany Finn everywhere he goes, even if it means being a little less comfortable.
The most essential thing for both of them is to be together, and even if Finn began to get out of his bed to sleep on the floor, Brutus remained sleeping next to him. Paige decided to relocate Brutus’ bed into Finn’s room, thus Finn now prefers to cuddle on Brutus’ bed.
Paige just recorded this cute evening ritual on a nanny cam installed in Finn’s room. The beautiful clip shows Brutus napping in his bed, then Finn comes out of bed and snuggles up close to his brother.
The adorable puppy doesn’t seem to mind being used as a cushion; all he wants is for his sibling to be comfortable.
The entire family is now expecting to wake up the next morning to witness Finn and Brutus cuddling together in the most charming and fantastic way.
Paige stated:
Finn spends the entire night with Brutus. They always want to sleep together, whether it’s on the dog’s bed, Finn’s bed, or on the floor.
