Clare is a young lady who has been working from home while the epidemic has been going on. She is, however, required to visit her office on occasion, and it was on one of these visits that she stumbled across a kitten in need of assistance. Clare had little experience with animals, but she chose to approach them to see how severe the situation was.
Clare decided to stay a few seconds longer to see if the kitten’s mother would return to assist her. This, however, never occurred. He attempted to earn her trust, but she was so afraid that she refused to leave the perilous drain. The young woman realized that leaving her there would put her life in jeopardy.
“His little head was barely protruding from the drain.” Claire stated, “I’ve seen foxes, pheasants, and even wild boars there.”
Clare purchased gloves, cat food, and a cardboard box from a supermarket. He managed to set up a little trap and get the kitten to go to the litter box in a couple of minutes.
“I believe it was put there by someone or it was just misplaced.” What was certain was that he required assistance. “I didn’t feel secure there,” Claire explained.
The poor animal was still terrified, but she was so hungry that she did not hesitate to leave after the meal a couple of times. It was obvious that he had no idea how to navigate the streets.
Clare explained, “I had to attempt to catch her so I could take her to the vet.”
Clare and her boyfriend realised that they had already fallen madly in love with the cat as soon as they brought her home. The kitten had already established herself as the queen of the territory after only a few days.
“She wouldn’t sleep the first night at our house unless one of us was holding and caressing her.”
