Isn’t love wonderful? Some people’s or animals’ bonds are frequently indestructible. Some couples can never be parted, no matter what life has in store for them. That’s the story of a pair of kittens discovered by the side of the road, most likely tossed out by an unethical individual. They would not have lived if it hadn’t been for the folks who found them.
The kittens were brought to the Sparkle Cat Rescue facility in North Carolina in poor condition. They required round-the-clock care and were assigned to Sarah Kelly, their new foster mom. For weeks, she fed them every two hours and kept track of their growth. They were placed in an incubator with a cuddly toy and promptly fell asleep.
This pair of kittens was little, but they had a tremendous drive to survive. From the start, they were inseparable — wherever one of them went, the other followed. Sarah gave them the names Soleil and Luna, which mean “sun” and “moon,” respectively. Soleil was very protective of her sister, and the two were inseparable.
Luna received all of her little sister’s support and encouragement during her rehabilitation. She kept an eye on her at all times and hastened to find her after each meal. They were always in each other’s sights, which is one of the reasons they came through like champs.
Even though the two sisters are just a few months old, they have an unshakable relationship. They were adopted together and are living their best lives in their new home, having received the joyful ending they deserved.
