Many people believe that animals do not have feelings and that humans are the only ones that do. Researchers have uncovered and demonstrated, however, that animals experience the same spectrum of emotions as humans. They are unable to communicate their emotions through human words, yet they do it through their behaviors. They frequently experience and express their emotions in far more dramatic ways than we do. They will not ignore or leave those who are most vulnerable and may require assistance. They also display genuine care and empathy for persons they don’t know.
