After Just A Few Hours Of Care And Love, A Scared Stray Kitten Exits From His Shell

Kelsey Ann, a Reddit user, and her mother were on their way to the theater when they came upon a very small orange cat. In the back alleyway behind the theater, this ginger youngster was utterly alone. As soon as the little one saw Kelsey and her mother, he ran to a corner and hid. He was paralyzed by terror.

“When we discovered him, he was a very pitiful sight. He was basically snuggled as close to a corner wall as he could get… My mother believes he was attempting to blend in as much as possible.”

Kelsey had a feeling she wouldn’t be able to abandon the tiny ginger. What began as a night out quickly turned into a rescue effort. She and her mother went around the neighborhood looking for other kittens. They decided to take the baby home to properly care for it after finding nothing.

Atlas was the name they chose for him. They rushed him into their car and drove him away. Atlas opted to hide under Kelsey’s jacket on the way home, not moving or meowing.

When they all got home, Kelsey went ahead and put Atlas in a kennel to let him unwind. She wanted him to understand that he was now protected and secure in his new home. She was awoken later that evening when the kitten began meowing. As a result, she decided to bring the kitten back to her bed. Atlas fell asleep almost quickly there.

Kelsey was blown away the next morning. Atlas had transformed into a totally new cat almost overnight. He had broken out of his shell, snuggling with his new family members and even playing with their dog.
