Adorable kitten Janie was discovered on a road in Ontario, Canada. The young girl is not only adorable but also stands out for having a really distinctive coat. People have been surprised by her unusual hue, which makes her resemble a newborn raccoon.
Janie weighed just 82 grams when she was discovered, yet she had managed to live because of her strength of character. She was transported right away to Tiny but Mighty Kitten Rescue, a nearby shelter that cares for all the stray cats.
The kitten was taken in by Melissa, the rescue center’s founder, in order to provide her the required care and assist her in overcoming her issues.
Bored Panda heard from Melissa:
Janie was discovered by herself on a sidewalk. She was yelling for her life, according to those who found her, they informed me. She was left in direct sunlight, which caused her hind legs to suffer from some very severe burns. She had been alive for almost 24 hours when I saved her.
She bottle-fed Janie for two weeks while keeping her in the incubator as part of a particular strategy to make sure she was physically healthy.
Following various examinations, it was found that the kitten’s coat color is referred to as “Fever Coat, Manto Febril, or Manto de Fever.” This occurs when the mother had stress or an illness during pregnancy, and in most cases has no adverse effects on the kitten’s overall health.
Therefore, there is no need for concern because Janie is not at risk. However, it’s possible that as she gets older, she will lose her unique tint. Finding Janie a foster mother was now crucial, and fortunately, the rescue organization found the ideal volunteer.
Melissa had taken in a pregnant cat who gave birth a few weeks after Janie arrived. The woman then realized that the best course of action would be to introduce Janie to the mother cat at a time that appeared convenient.
The young child made remarkable progress after three days of round-the-clock care when she managed to gain 100 grams of weight. Janie continued to gain weight and develop over the following few days, and the patches of her silver fur started to deepen and take on a distinctive color.
